Edible Hope Kitchen is open every weekday morning from 8-10 AM to provide a free meal, community, and, in the words of our guests, Edible Hope.
Visit Us Today!
After 38 years in the basement of St. Luke’s, Edible Hope is coming up on our one year anniversary at St. Paul’s UCC in Ballard. Our address is 6512 12th Ave NW.
Our hours are 8-10 AM Monday through Friday (including all weekday holidays). Our mission will always remain the same, to feed people in mind, body, and spirit. Consider stopping by to volunteer or grab a cup of coffee. Sign up to volunteer below.
Our Mission
Edible Hope’s mission is to build community through a shared meal, love, and service. We feed people in mind, body, and spirit five days a week all throughout the year.
The Power of a Shared Meal
For over three decades, Edible Hope has been welcoming and serving anyone who needs a meal in the St. Luke’s church basement in the heart of Ballard. Each weekday morning from 8-10 am, a team of volunteers opens our doors, prepares coffee and food (all of which has been donated), and offers a meal, a cup of coffee, and a warm place to enjoy them to everyone who shows up. Run by the Community, for the Community!
EHK is largely run by neighbors and guests for neighbors. In fact, volunteers are the bread and butter of our operation. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us cook, clean, prep food and serve Monday - Friday between 7-11am. We also host group visits! Click below to learn more about volunteering with us!
